On Day One, I made a slip-stitch square with a popcorn pyramid off of one corner.
Today I began (above) with one row of single crochet, in yellow, worked into the back loops, along the edge of the slip-stitch square and behind the popcorns.
Row two (above) is orange, worked in single crochet from right to left (on the right side) into the back loops.
On row 3 (above), I decided to emphasize the swoops of the curves, so I decreased a stitch in the valley and gradually raised the height of the stitches on the hill. Otherwise, row 3 is also single crochet worked from right to left on the right side, in the back loops.
To gradually increase the height, work sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc. At the end of this row (which didn’t go all the way to the end), I tapered off from the single crochets down to slip stitches.
Row 4 (above), is just single crochet in the back loops, from right to left on the right side. In order to keep the section flat, I had to work 2 stitches into one in a couple of places.
Now, I just need to pick some colors for whatever is about to happen next!
