Just doodling around with my favorite Artist’s Assortments yarns.
Playing with some drawings I’d done a while ago……
…..I worked a square stitch (Mosaic) and a little Bargello on 18-mesh canvas.
The impetus for this little adventure was that in addition to the original 28 colors, called the “Cottage Garden Assortment”…….
….we have added 16 neutrals. I needed to see if they work well with the original colors.
I love the way the neutrals make the bright colors pop.
It’s also my go-to yarn for swatching stitches and color combinations.
Doodling is the first thing I do with a new idea. It helps me decide if there is a reason to pursue any of the crazy thoughts I get. Do you doodle? Or, do you only work projects with a known end-product?
My doodles go into doodle storage after they’re finished, but I’m amazed at how often I end up incorporating them into a project later on. So, doodling is doubly useful!
