It’s a glorious, sunny day, and I have a glass of fresh-brewed iced tea, hours before I have to go anywhere and the Freeform piece, above. I’m spending lots of time staring at it, moving it around, imagining the possibilities. I’m still thinking it will be a collar for a shawl or sweater, so this view could end up being the back, beginning to curve around the neckline.
It’s time to start a new scrumble. That doesn’t mean I’m finished with the first piece. But, today I’d like to start a focal point for the middle of the back. In an ordinary Freeform piece I would still just be scrumbling away, with no idea of the final piece.
This jumble of yarn bits is my palette. I just liked the colors, today. Here we go:
A little flower is emerging. Center = 12 dc in a ring. Then a row of popcorns, a row of “3dc, ch1” clusters, a row of popcorns in the chain-spaces and some petals (sc, hdc,dc,tc,dc,hdc,sc).
Now I’ll stare (and sip) some more………
