One Small Thing, #6

After several days crocheting, I’m ready to knit. So, I’ve picked up 15 stitches along one end of the piece. I wasn’t sure what stitch I would do until I saw how many stitches I could pick up. Fifteen will allow me to make three starting triangles of 5 stitches each, so Entrelac it is!

The Entrelac continues………

Trying to decide what color to use next. It always helps me to place the yarn where I might use it. Then, it’s really just a gut feeling. For me, gut feelings are ACTUAL feelings in my gut. That just seems to be where my censor is. I get a satisfied feeling when the color is right and an unsettled, uncomfortable feeling when it’s wrong. At this stage in the project, I’m still not too concerned about color imbalances, because there’s plenty of time to fix them.

Now, talk about an unsettled feeling! This thing is way out of balance, and I LOVE that! Doesn’t it make you itch to fix it? Maybe that’s what keeps me moving through Freeform pieces. Right about now I’ve got a whole bunch of ideas to mess this up further, and there’s another reason for that. The more jutting angles, dips and swoops there are, the easier it will be to put the final puzzle together. It’s just now starting to get interesting!!
