I did several small things, last week, before my surprise bionic transformation. The photo, above, is the starting point.
The purple section, top right, is a diagonal knot stitch that looks great in a bigger gauge, but I still loved the texture. So it stays. The knot is “purl three together, don’t slide off the stitch, yarn-over, p3tog into the same space, slide the stitch off the left needle”. To knit the pattern, cast on a multiple of 3 stitches plus one (4,7,10,13,16, etc.) All right side rows are just knit. The pattern rows are on the back. The way you begin the pattern rows will determine the diagonal. Just begin with either a knot, 2 purls, or 1 purl. maintain that order and the knots will line up diagonally.
A few rows of Single Crochet in the back loops added to the knot stitches and embellished with an orange popcorn in the V.
Another cluster of rust bullion stitches to fill in the V-space above the popcorn.
Two rows of blue-green SC in the BL that I don’t like, so…..
Goodbye!
Two tiny rows of SC in the BL (yellow and red) and a big purple fluffle complete today’s shenanigans.
