When life gets crazy, I make little stuff: freeform rocks, tiny lampshades, miniscule stitch samples, my own ideas or intriguing patterns I’ve found. Opening the new store has been crazy hectic, exciting, inspiring, and all-consuming. But, I’ve still got to make stuff. Of all the little projects, above, the tiny stitch sample has spurred me into a larger project.
Color choices are the first issue.
Will I stick to the five that the pattern calls for or vary it a bit?
Since this pattern, called “Fox Paws”, has a reputation for being tough, I’ll stick to five, for now.
And it doesn’t take long for me to make a stinker of a mistake. My paws just turned into spades. Oops. Will I rip?
Yes. So glad I fixed it. It took starting two new projects (a couple of pairs of lacy fingerless gloves in mink and alpaca) to get the right perspective. More small things to the rescue!!
