Description
Textile Beetles: Hand-Stitched Wall Art from Found Fabrics
Aimee Hagedorn : on Saturday, March 7th Starting at 10:00AM
Description: Celebrate your love of stitching and sustainability in this creative workshop designed for makers. Together, we’ll explore how to transform found and repurposed fabrics into striking, large-scale beetle wall art. Using your sewing skills, you’ll design, hand-stitch, and embellish a dimensional textile beetle inspired by the rich forms and patterns of the natural world.
We’ll experiment with layering textures, shaping three-dimensional forms, and incorporating small found objects or trims to create vibrant, tactile surfaces. This session emphasizes creative reuse, artistic interpretation, and the joy of slow, detailed handwork.
