The last time we heard from this piece, I had just added the pink and yellow spiral, above. Monday I had a rare day off in the fresh air and sunshine, and I made several additions to the piece.
First, there is a yellow and purple slip-stitch square. Then two “V’s” of ribbing to fill in the gap between the s/s square and the spiral.
A couple ot rows of single-crochet-through-the-back-loops lays a foundation for future expansion (multi and blue along the bottom edge). Then, below, a round of curlicues transformed the spiral into a sun as bright as the one that inspired me on this day.
