I started this round piece, last time, ending with the turquoise popcorns. Today I have added a round of 3dc clusters separated with ch1’s.
A second row of clusters, only this time it is *4dc, ch1* all the way around. I added the extra dc because the circumference is getting larger, and this extra dc allows me to keep the edge flat without thinking. ( I was able to work the cluster in one stitch and skip the next stitch all the way around.)
I didn’t complete the round, because I liked the negative shape that was happening at the top. See the interesting, sort of italicized V shape?
There was another V- shape happening at the bottom. I filled it with large bullions. ( 17 wraps tapering down to 9 wraps).
Up above I need something else……and it needs to tie in to other places in the piece. So, I’ll do some random, linking chains.
A few more random chains, below, and I’m done for the day.
