Have you ever had a project in-process for, say, decades?
When I fished this out of the studio closet, a few days ago, I felt the same excitement as when I began it, so many years ago. True Love!
These geraniums were growing in an enormous pot on my patio, in Nashville, TN. Back then I was having a love affair with needlepoint and painting my own canvases. I was also working full-time, had two babies, and had just learned we were transferring to Madison, WI.
So, life intervened, and this canvas went into storage.
I’m wondering how different the finished piece will be, made from this place in my life, than from that younger vantage point.
